| Comments: | I originally found this site back in April of this year and emailed Rachel then. I also found another site about the 101st AAA. http://unitpages.military.com/unitpages/unit.do?id=103758 My Dad served with this unit from 1941-1945. He was in Battery "A". He was in New Guinea from 1942-1945. I have quite a few pictures including the one posted on this site of the Fort Sweat sign. I will try to scan in some of the pics and post them here when I get time. If anyone has specific questions I might be able to help with info in my Dad's diary and other documentation he left me. Just email me and I will reply when I can as I work crazy long hours. Also if anyone has any info on M1 Garand Rifle assignments to this unit please let me know. Thanks. I look forward to hearing from others. |
